Artist Statement

My work touches on many facets of the ordinary with a playful and serious tone. Many of the works propose questions and yet propose the same question in just existing, leaving all room for answers or interpretation while referencing the tradition and line of conjecture laid out in facts, books, newspapers, magazines and even placing a work on a wall for display… I like to think I am thinking outside of the box allowing viewers the ability to connect with the physicality of the work while invoking or engaging a conversation of distinction, definition and appropriation; with past present, future and unknown. My work has seemed to have had this ability to stay relevant in terms of context from 2008 to the present.
