Laura Gaunt
Fine Art Photographer—Highland, Michigan
In a world that often hurries past its own miracles, Highland resident Laura Gaunt has learned to pause, look closer, and honor the quiet beauty in her own backyard.
Laura’s photographs celebrate the “tiny heroes” that keep our gardens alive — the monarchs, dragonflies, bees, ladybugs, and hummingbirds that stitch the seasons together with their fragile wings. Her art holds space for stillness, too — the softest, quietest moments when the earth seems to lean in and whisper back to anyone patient enough to listen.
What draws people to Laura’s work isn’t only the beauty in the frame — it’s the emotion woven into it. There is a quiet tenderness to her art, a reverence for the softer edges of life. Her photographs don’t demand attention; they whisper. They remind us that wonder isn’t a grand gesture. It doesn’t shout. It arrives gently, waits patiently, and reveals itself in the exact moment we choose to look.
At the heart of Laura’s work is a simple hope: that her art helps people slow down, breathe in, and rediscover the quiet magic woven into everyday life.
After all, nature asks nothing except that we stay.
