Artist Statement

Heather Riley-English is a licensed social worker who is working on integrating creative expression into mental health services. Heather has always had a love for art and encourages clients to use talk therapy combined with various art styles to help them explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and support healing through the creative process. Heather also uses art as an emotional outlet for herself. Heather's dual identity as a therapist and artist enhances her belief that creativity can be a powerful tool for self-discovery.
While her artwork stands as independent artistic exploration, it also reflects her broader mission—to encourage people to reconnect with their inner worlds and honor their personal stories. Her work invites viewers to remember that healing, like art, is often layered, nonlinear, and part of the human experience.
