Artist Statement

For years, I have expressed the beauty of the world around me through mixed-media artworks, with a heavy focus on photography and printmaking. Visiting other cultures and immersing myself in their customs is the most meaningful experience for me. I love every bit of it. Walking the streets, seeing how people really exist, their ceremonies and celebrations; this is what I want the world to see through my work. After spending 15 years in Southeast Asia and 5 in Europe, I have broadened my view of the world. I was born and raised in West Texas. My viewpoints seemed so limiting in retrospect but I feel like my art and the people I meet continue to help me grow.
