Artist Statement

I am an abstract painter drawn to nature—its geomorphic forms, its moving waters, and the forces that shape our world. Trained originally as a geologist, I try to bring an attentiveness to my surroundings into my practice. Through paint, I seek to translate the awe of natural world, using color and shape.
