Artist Statement

I'm excited by the natural world and finding a connection to the other creatures that live alongside us. I love finding environments through word of mouth and obsessive research into the treasure trove of nature right here in my backyard of Fairfield County. And I feel most inspired when I get to share this all with my friends, my family, and my community.

It's addictive, really; seeing new animals and places and then spending hours poring over shots from the session. From there, I do double and triple takes to make sure I've digested everything before polishing the images and sharing them with everyone I know.

What I don't want is for any two of my photographs to look the same.

What I really want is to make photos that look the way I feel.
