Artist Statement
As an artist, my journey has been shaped by a lifetime of creative exploration. Trained as an architect in Moscow during the 1970s and working for many years as a professional illustrator, designer and an Art teacher, I’ve had the privilege of blending my technical background with my love for the beauty in the world around me. My art, now primarily expressed through acrylic on canvas and ceramics, draws inspiration from attractive interiors, landscapes, and the people I cherish, often weaving together elements of still life and contemporary expression.
Throughout my work, I aim to reflect the simple, profound beauty of life, whether it’s decorative pieces -through the warmth of a room, the serenity of a landscape, or the connection I feel toward loved ones, each piece is an attempt to evoke emotions of joy and peace. My hope is that my art serves as a reminder to cherish the moments and environments that bring us happiness and comfort.
