Artist Statement

I am an American abstract artist. I've always been fascinated by the kaleidoscope's use of light, color, transparency and reflection to create infinite geometric shapes. My latest works focus on the tension between expanding concentric circles,spheres,distorted spheres and squares. This results in a yin yang effect, with the interplay of the spiritual(circle) and the earthly (square). All these works are based on an algorithm I developed decades ago to figure out color and tonal value ratios used in each individual shape in my paintings and drawings.
