Artist Statement

My work spans a variety of mediums—including oils, acrylics, pastels, and watercolor—and is driven by the joy of discovery found in both the everyday and the extraordinary. I seek to capture moments of beauty, whether it's a memory from a sunlit Santorini afternoon or the serenity of a fall ride on a quiet road in my 1961 Nash Metropolitan. Inspired by my travels and the simple pleasures of daily life, my art is a celebration of the places, people, and experiences that shape who I am.
I’ve always needed to create. Whether I'm painting scenes from joyful days in a far-off land or a quiet moment shared with animals in my backyard, my goal is to evoke feelings of joy, adventure, and serenity in the viewer. The universal power of art to connect us to both our own memories and the broader world is what drives me to continue exploring and expressing these emotions through my work.
At the heart of it all, my paintings are a reflection of the beauty and wonder that I’ve encountered in my travels—and in the moments of calm that bring us back to what truly matters. I hope that my art invites others to share in that same sense of awe and appreciation for the world around us.
