Artist Statement

Originally from Illinois and currently living in Arizona and marking my 26th year of teaching art at the high school level, my work reflects the red rocks, colors, textures, and the scenery of the rugged Southwest. I enjoy working in a realistic and abstract format. Semi-precious stones, copper, handmade paper, and clay shards embellish my abstract paintings. I believe my work reflects the Southwest vibe that I have come to appreciate and love.
