Artist Statement

I am a photographer and visual storyteller drawn to people who are too often overlooked or defined by someone else. My work moves between portraiture, documentary photography and mixed media, using color, texture and personal history to explore identity, resilience and belonging.

I want the people in my images to feel present and fully themselves. Whether I am photographing women reclaiming visibility, young people crossing barriers or the lives unfolding in my own community, I make work that asks viewers to look closer and question the stories they have been taught to expect.
