Artist Statement
As a fine artist: painter and sculptor, I utilize abstraction, cubism, and surrealism to capture the intangible dimensions of time and energy and tell stories that take the viewer on emotional journeys. My goal is to create surfaces and provocative forms that engage the viewers curiosity and discovery. My ideas come from everywhere—jazz music, and the directness of children's art, memories. My meticulous approach to media, using fine brushes and acrylic gouache paint on canvas.
