Artist Statement

The Architecture of Resilience.
This piece captures both the physical medium and the deep emotional core of the work.
The physical layer: the composition is literally constructed—built piece by piece out of newspaper clippings, film strips, sheet music, literature, and painted textures. It shows that identity and memory are structured things we actively assemble, even when surrounded by the chaos of war and destruction pictured in the background.
The symbolic layer: A revolution rooted in "Woman, Life, Freedom" isn't just a brief spark; it’s an enduring framework built on creative expression, art, music, and courage (evident in the references to Shervin Hajipour, the skateboard, the books, and the cameras).
The central faceless figure sits grounded and steady in the middle of all these complex layers—she is that architecture holding strong against the surrounding noise.
