Artist Statement

I create illustrated scenes of local life, filled with people, colors, and all the details that make these scenes familiar. Initially, I painted my children in each scene. I have painted different parks, libraries, the shops and my family and I love, and more- the possibilities have been endless! The work in this ever-growing body is geared toward young viewers and the young at heart, encapsulating a joyful and whimsical quality.
Recently I have become interested in the history of our town. My goal with these new works is to explore and portray the past with the same lens I have used in my local scenes.
