Artist Statement

I’m a mixed media artist who explores the emotional landscape of nature through vibrant color, layered textures, and expressive mark-making. Working with acrylics, inks, and collage elements, I depict environments that balance observation with imagination.
My process is intuitive and exploratory, built through successive layers that reveal and conceal, echoing the complexity of memory and place. Bold brushstrokes and fluid lines interact with fragments of paper and unexpected textures, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Rather than depicting specific locations, my landscapes evoke spaces that feel both familiar and imagined.
Influenced by my experience as an immigrant and my deep connection to the natural world, my work often reflects themes of belonging, transformation, and environmental awareness. Animals, sometimes subtly embedded within the composition, serve as quiet reminders of fragile ecosystems and the interconnectedness of life.
Through my work, I invite viewers to slow down and engage with a more introspective relationship to nature—one that is rooted not only in what we see, but in what we feel and remember.
