Elizabeth Keithline

Artist Statement

Elizabeth Keithline's focuses on human self-extension and its effects on contemporary society. In 1996, she invented a sculpture technique wherein wire is woven around an object and then burned out, leaving behind a wire ‘memory’. She has created sculpture and installations for the Danforth Museum, Wheaton College, Real Art Ways, Craft Alliance St. Louis, the Newport Art Museum and the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit. She has also shown small works and curated shows at New York University, Mark Miller Gallery on Orchard Street, NYC, Mobius Boston, the Fuller Museum and others.

Her work has been well-reviewed in the New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, the Boston Globe, the Hartford Courant and others.
