Mikiya Jones

Artist Statement

Mikiya Jones is a Bloomington/ Normal artist whose captivating art has caught the attention of her peers and the local art community. Her mediums include paintings, writing and texture art.

Jones’ current inspiration flows from her life experiences and pop culture. Her work has been showcased in the 95th Annual Amateur Exhibition at the McLean County Arts Center; the RISE: Artists of Color Showcase at the Jacoby Arts Center, Visions of Hope Exhibit at the Stola Contemporary Art, as well as participated in the 2022 Sugar Creek Arts Festival in her hometown of Bloomington/ Normal.
