Artist Statement

I believe there are two parts to the creative process, the first is the vision concept or idea. The second is the expression of that vision in a material.
I work in stone, metal and plastics and have made a commitment to the human figure. I create figurative impressions of our human condition 3 inches to monumental in scale. In the material process I start with a small scale model and get to explore the figure anew. From the figure as it is, to the new one I create I never tire of this process of exploring creativity and the human figure.
