Bio
Dellis Frank is a full-time visual artist and arts educator based in Lomita, California. A former Los Angeles Unified School District teacher, she helped develop the Media Arts curriculum that became a stand-alone discipline. Her work centers on social justice and environmental awareness through repurposed materials—a practice she calls The Greening of Fine Art. Frank serves on the boards of the Women’s Caucus for Art, SoLA Contemporary Gallery, Palos Verdes Art Center’s Third Dimension, and Friends of Redondo Beach Arts, and collaborates with numerous community arts organizations locally and nationally.
Artist Statement
Art is joy, and every day in my studio feels like an adventure. Using fibers, paint, and found materials through an intuitive process I call “vibrational cooking,” my pieces evolve as I work. I see beauty in discarded objects—a crushed can, a torn fabric scrap, even an empty paper roll—each sparking new ideas. My goal is to create meaning and beauty while rethinking waste, proving that fine art can flourish sustainably.
