Artist Statement

I paint as an attempt to communicate; I love the language of painting and the way it can reach people. I am particularly interested in human psychology and the emotions it seems we all grapple with over the course of a lifetime. My work conveys a shared psychology that can be both dramatic and light. My aim is to highlight and celebrate what it is to be human and how we are all connected.
