Artist Statement
I think of my extensive body of work as an exploration in defining beauty. My goal with my botanical work is to capture the beauty of nature in a way that educates and informs the viewer. Complex subjects are my favorite, I like to include as many elements of the plant as I have access to. I particularly like to paint vines in all their rambling glory.
