Artist Statement

All of my clay work is one-of-a-kind. Some pieces do bear a family resemblance but each remains unique unto itself.
As I handle the clay it begins to breathe on its own. No longer am I in control of where I go or what occurs when I get there…
THE CLAY SPEAKS TO ME and I listen. We transform each other;
my entire being, not just my hands, is an integral part of the process and what emerges just happens from the visual appeal
to the corresponding feel of each piece.
