Artist Statement

I fell in love immediately when my high school teacher introduced working with sterling silver and I've been creating jewelry ever since. I prefer to use a mix of metals with wood accents as well as semi-precious gems. Sometimes found bones find their way into these creations. My wears evolve from a deep personal relationship to the natural world (great mystery) and whatever is animating my practice at the moment. Often a piece will be sculptural, multiple angles presenting different views. Recently, I have been carving small salt cellars out of a variety of different wood. Each is one of a kind ceremonial works of art!
