The exhibit committee will be asked to select work (both two and three dimensional) that reflects and expresses the theme of 'the future of Kentucky's Appalachia region' while demonstrating creativity, strength of execution, and overall artistic excellence with the goal of selecting a well-rounded exhibit that showcases a broad range of artistic style and interpretation.
Kentucky artists who self identify as Appalachian are invited to submit work that responds to this theme. All visual media will be considered with the exception of live or performance art. All work must have been completed since January of 2017 and not previously shown in any other Art Center of the Bluegrass exhibitions. All works must be for sale.
AWARDS
1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $100
Selected works will be on display at the Art Center of the Bluegrass January 13 - March 16. We hope to have an Opening Reception and will confirm as we get closer and know the Covid situation better.
