Horizon: Contemporary Landscape 2015

Organization: Art Center of the Bluegrass Location Danville, Kentucky Entry Fee Paid Entry Deadline September 1, 2015 Exhibition Oct 1 - Oct 14, 2015
The juror will be asked to select work (both two and three dimensional) that reflects and expresses the theme of 'contemporary landscape' while demonstrating creativity, strength of execution, and overall artistic excellence with the goal of selecting a well-rounded exhibit that showcases a broad range of artistic style and interpretation.

All artists using visual media are eligible to enter the Horizon exhibition. All media will be considered with the exception of live or performance art. All work must have been completed since January of 2011 and not previously shown in any other Community Arts Center exhibitions. All works must be for sale.

ABOUT THE JUROR:
Mary S. Rezny is a photo-mixed media artist, based in Lexington KY since 1976. Her studio/gallery is in the Distillery District where in addition to exhibiting her current art there is a revolving display of art from established and emerging contemporary artists for the community to enjoy. An adjudicated Kentucky Crafted artist and a Kentucky Foundation for Women grant recipient, her art is exhibited regionally in galleries and juried exhibitions and it is included in the permanent collection of The Art Museum of the University of Kentucky and the Little Fine Art Library, University of Kentucky. Her artist books can be found in the permanent collections of Lucille Little Fine Arts Library, University of Kentucky, Vanderbilt University, Denison University, Baylor University and the Savannah School of Art and Design in addition to many private collections. Most recently she was selected as a featured artist in “Plates to Pixels” international juried exhibit “Lumen Eyes”.

Selected works will be on display at the Community Arts Center Thursday, Oct. 1 - Saturday, Nov. 14. An opening reception for exhibiting artists will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 6 to 8 p.m. We hope you'll join us!
