Arizona Artist's Guild Sixth Annual Statewide Open Art Exhibition

Note: Once you register your entry and pay, you have to enter all pieces at once in order to have the multiple entry price. If you enter one piece, then logout and login again to enter more artwork, it will cost the same price for one piece again. Do not enter until you are ready to enter all your artwork at once.

ARIZONA ARTIST GUILD'S SIXTH ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION OF FINE ART OPEN TO ALL ARIZONA ARTISTS

This is an opportunity to see your art on display at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona, from March 4-26, 2016. Gallery hours are: Fridays and Saturdays, 6pm-9pm. Other hours by appointment.

AWARDS
The following awards will be made:
Best of Show $1000 cash
Award of Excellence $500 cash
Award of Merit $250 cash
Special Recognition awards by juror descretion.

In Addition, images of the selected artwork will also be displayed on Arizona Artists Guild's website for one year. The images will be accompanied by the title, medium, dimensions, price and contact information for the artist.


REQUIREMENTS
1. The artist must be over the age of 18, and a current resident of the State of Arizona.

2. Submitted art work must be original works of art in concept and design, made solely by the artist. Artwork must have been created within the past 2 years.

3. All visual art media accepted.
Artwork involving technology, or video/audio components may require installation by the entrant March 2nd-3rd.
4. Two-dimensional work to be wall-hung must not exceed 50 inches wide measured at the outside of the frame, and must be adequately wired and ready to hang (no saw toothed hangers). The hanging wire must be placed no more than one quarter of the way from the top of the frame. Artwork with frames considered below minimal gallery standards will not be displayed nor considered for award. Mats must be neutral in color, clean and professional in presentation. Gallery wraps are acceptable provided they are at least 1 1/2 inches deep and are painted on all four sides.

5. Three-dimensional work is not to exceed 50 lbs. Artists requiring pedestals larger than 12 inches x 12 inches must supply their own.

6. Each artist may submit up to three pieces of artwork.

7. All artwork must be submitted as digital images. Your images should be saved in baseline standard JPEG format.
Image resolution should be set to 1200 pixels width.
Submit only one image per piece of artwork. However, up to 3 views of sculptural works maybe submitted.
Videos of kinetic sculpture must be submitted in .mov format.

8. All artwork must be priced and available for sale (no NFS) and the price should include a 30% commission payable to the City of Glendale.
The artist retains copyright to the artwork, however Arizona Artists Guild reserves the right to photograph and publish images of the artwork for the purposes of promotion for this exhibition and future exhibitions.

9. Accepted artwork must be clearly labeled with artist's name, title of artwork, medium, year of completion, dimensions, and price on the back of each piece.
10. Participating artists are encouraged to volunteer for gallery sitting during open hours.

ENTRY FEE
The schedule of entry fees is as follows:
For Arizona Artist Guild Members; $35 for one piece, $40 for two pieces, or $45 for three pieces.
For non-AAG Members; $40 for one piece, $45 for two pieces, or $50 for three pieces.
The entry fee is a contribution to Arizona Artists Guild, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that encourages growth of artists and art education.

OPTIONAL DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED ARTWORK
It is expected that most artwork will be hand-delivered to Gallery Glendale by the artists. If this is inconvenient, the artwork may be shipped to the Arizona Artists Guild, 18411 N 7th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85023 to arrive on February 29, 2016. If shipping artwork, artist must enclose a check for $25.00 payable to the gallery to cover the expense of uncrating, storage of crate, re-crating and contacting your shipper for return. In a separate envelope include the appropriate return shipping label with your personal FedEx or UPS account information.

LIABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Neither Arizona Artists Guild nor the City of Glendale will be responsible for any loss or damage of any artwork no matter what the cause while it is on exhibit, nor while in transit to or from the gallery.
By submitting artwork to this exhibition, each artist is deemed to have concurred with this understanding.
