At Arts to Hearts Project, our work has always been rooted in a long-term commitment to supporting artists through meaningful opportunities, visibility, and professional growth. Over the past six years, we have developed platforms and initiatives designed to bring artists together across different backgrounds, mediums, and stages of their careers.
Our initiatives have led to the publication of over 35 curated art books and the inclusion of more than 10,000 artists worldwide, creating a growing body of contemporary work and giving artists opportunities to share their practices with new audiences.
With our official presence on Artsy, we are continuing to develop exhibition opportunities where selected artists can present their work within a professional online art environment.
This open call is part of that vision.
Dear Creatures, Big and Small invites artists to explore the animal world in all its forms. From animals we know and live alongside to wildlife, birds, insects, marine life, ancient and extinct species, mythical creatures, and imagined beings, the exhibition welcomes different ways of seeing and representing animals.
Artists may explore animals through nature, memory, mythology, history, relationships, emotion, symbolism, storytelling, imagination, or personal experience. An animal can be the main subject of a work, a character, a symbol, a memory, or part of a larger story.
The open call welcomes all mediums and styles, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, collage, mixed media, digital art, illustration, installation, and experimental practices.
Selected artists will be featured in a curated online exhibition on Artsy, bringing together different perspectives and creative interpretations of the animal world.
Dear Creatures, Big and Small continues Arts to Hearts Project’s focus on creating thoughtfully curated projects where artists can explore a clear theme while bringing their own perspective, practice, and imagination to the work.
