CALL FOR ARTISTS
Alternating Currents: When Images Speak
Aponte Art Gallery invites artists to submit work for an upcoming exhibition exploring the intersection of visual language, symbols, text, and imagery.
Inspired by the poetic philosophy of writer Octavio Paz, this exhibition celebrates artworks that communicate through rhythm, symbolism, fragments of language, and expressive mark-making.
We are especially interested in work that incorporates:
• Words, letters, or numbers as visual elements
• Symbolic imagery or poetic visual storytelling
• Experimental or expressive compositions
• Work where meaning emerges through intuition rather than literal interpretation
This exhibition welcomes artists working in painting, mixed media, drawing, collage, photography, and experimental visual forms. Think bold. Think expressive. Think visual poetry.
