812 Royal Gallery is excited to announce an open call for submissions to the annual Southern Group Show, an upcoming group exhibition celebrating the distinct perspective and depth of art connected to the American South. The Southern Group Show is an annual survey of the cultural richness, layered histories, landscapes, and evolving narratives that shape Southern identity today.
We welcome submissions across all visual media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Artists with personal, cultural, or geographic ties to the South are encouraged to apply. Whether your work explores tradition, challenges convention, or reimagines Southern experience through a contemporary lens, we are interested in voices that bring authenticity, originality, and a strong sense of place.
Selected artists will be featured in a curated group exhibition opening Friday, June 26th, 2026 at 812 Royal Gallery. An opening reception at the gallery, located in the heart of the French Quarter, offers artists an opportunity to connect with contemporary artists, collectors, and curators to celebrate the vibrancy of the summer season.
